A foreign-funded company, also known as a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, refers to an enterprise established within the territory of China with all its capital invested by foreign investors in accordance with relevant Chinese laws. It is a Chinese legal person and does not include branches of foreign companies and other economic organizations within the territory of China. There are two specific forms of it: foreign joint venture and foreign sole proprietorship. Process for Foreigners to Register Companies in Shanghai:
1. Name checking is the first step in registering a foreign-funded company in Shanghai. The first step is to check whether the company name has been used by peers, and similar names cannot be used.
2. After the name search is completed, apply for a business license: Submit the prepared industrial and commercial materials to the Industrial and Commercial Bureau to apply for a business license. After the materials are fully prepared, it will take about 10 working days.
3. Seal engraving: Generally includes official seal, financial seal, and legal representative seal. If other seals are required, it needs to be explained in advance, which usually takes about one working day.
4. Bank account opening: After the company is registered, it can open a bank account. The information includes the original and duplicate of the company's business license, all seals, legal representative documents, etc.
