SHANGHAI, as a world-renowned international financial metropolis, has the responsibility of facing the world and serving the whole country, and plays a very important role in the country's economic construction and social development. Its highly developed finance, trade, tourism, shipping, information, real estate and other fields are increasingly catching up with the world level. The increasingly perfect legal system, in line with the international practice of market rules, helps Shanghai to create a good investment environment.

1. Name of Representative Office
The name of Shanghai representative office is registered in Chinese, and the company name usually ends with Shanghai Representative Office, such as country (region) + company name + Shanghai Representative Office.

3. Dispatched Enterprises
The dispatched enterprise of the foreign representative office in Shanghai must be registered outside the mainland and established more than two years.

4. Registered Address
The representative office is more strict on the registered address, and must be commercial nature.

It can only carry out activities within the scope specified in its registration certificate. For example: public relations activities, business liaison, product display, market research, scientific and technological exchanges. However, if there is a bilateral treaty signed between China and the government of the country where the foreign enterprise is located, and the bilateral treaty clearly stipulates that the resident representative office of the foreign enterprise may engage in direct business activities in China, such provisions shall be followed.
