Trademark registration process in China is an important reference for applicants who intends to register a Chinese trademark. A trademark is a sign that serves the specific and primary purpose of identifying the goods or services of a producer, thus allowing the consumers to distinguish goods or services of one producer from those of another. Once a trademark right is granted by the relevant authority, the trademark owner enjoys the exclusive right to use the sign in relation to the goods or services covered by the trademark, and may prohibit others from using it without prior consent.
China is the country receiving one of the largest number of trademark applications. Please keep in mind that the registration in China is effective only within the territory of mainland China. Protection in China is not recognized in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as these territories have their own authorities and request specific registrations.

(4) Letters of the alphabet;

Minimum Filing Requirements
For obtainment of the date of filing, your trademark application should contain:
(1) A representation of the trademark;
(2) A list of goods and services;
(3) The applicant (s) details including name and address;
(4) Power of Attorney with signature.
Process for Trademark Registration in China
When you file your application, it will take you about 1-3 months to receive the notification of acceptance. After 6-9 months, you’ll get the result of the trademark examination by the China State Intellectual Property Office.
Once your trademark passes the examination, it will be published on the website TM gazette of China trademark for around 3 months. If no one opposed the trademark, you will receive the certificate of the trademark within a month.
