1. Foreigners among independent investment joint venture& foreign investment enterprises
If holding one's passport residence permit, adding the official seal of the unit when fill out "Application Form for Visa Residence Permit", and stick a recent, two in., bareheaded, full-faced photo. Can apply for single entry round visa valid for three months; or twice or multiple entries round visa valid for half a year; or multiple entries round visa within one year (the validity period of visa shouldn't exceed the expiry of residence permit). The visa can be applied with the residence permit concurrently.
2. Foreigners among permanent offices in China of foreign enterprises
