China Z visa application is also known as China Work Visa application, which is issued to foreigners employed by a company that has been incorporated in China. Z Visas are issued prior to entry into China upon the submission of supporting documentation by the employer and related government departments.
China Work visa (Z Visa) is issued to those who have obtained employment permit and intend to work in China. A Chinese government issued working permit or employment license is required. Z visa is usually issued for one entry with duration of stay of 000 (means to be determined). Holder of Z visa should enter China within 90 days after visa is issued and must register at local public security bureau within 30 days of arrival, where the China Residence Permit will be issued to replace Z visa to allow multiple entry for one year. In order to apply for China Z Visa, please prepare and send in your application according to the detail required materials below.
Documents needed for work visa (Z) visa
1. Your valid and actual passport. The passport must have at least six (6) months validity left before expiration and at least two blank visa pages.
2. A copy of the photo page of your passport.
3. One completed Chinese Visa Application Form.
4. Recent photo.
5. Foreigners Employment Permit (Work Permit) - documents listed on the work permit -- most do not have additional documents listed.
6. If you were born in mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, and your current foreign passport does not have an old Chinese visa, please submit the original AND a copy of your old Chinese passport (pages with your name, photo and passport extension), or a copy of old Chinese visa on your last foreign passport. For the Employment Permit and Invitation Letter, even though the original is required, a scanned copy will work in most cases. We suggest providing the originals if possible.
