China Induction Training

Induction training is a form of introduction for new starters in order to enable them to do their work in a new profession or job role within a business (or establishment), which provides employees with a smooth entry into the organisation by providing them with the information they require to get started.

1. Types of Induction Training
Employers design a variety of ways to present new employee Induction Training. Classroom training, mentoring arrangements and extensive workplace tours are a few of the methods human resources staff uses to introduce new employees to the workplace and their new colleagues. Some companies conduct full-day Induction Training sessions, and other organizations condense orientation into a few short hours before the employee goes to her work area or department. Large organizations generally have the resources and time to develop new employee orientation and training on a grand scale that includes participation from every member of human resources, department leaders and front-line employees.

2. Instruction of Induction Training
2.1 Schedule the new hire's orientation prior to the first day of employment. Have the human resources department provide the new hire with the date, time and location of the orientation in the letter confirming his or her employment with the organization.
2.2 Provide a tour of the workplace when the new hire arrives at the meeting place. Hand out a welcoming letter and an organizational chart. Provide the new hire with an employee handbook and information about the company's benefits and organizational policies and procedures.
2.3 Begin the orientation by welcoming the new hire. Show a brief video or PPT that discusses the history of the company and its mission, goals, values and objectives.
2.4 Review the employee handbook and the company's policies after the presentation is over. Discuss the company's expectations for the employee and note that he or she is responsible for upholding the code of conduct.
2.5 Conclude by answering any questions that the new hire may have regarding the presentation or any other questions in reference to their employment.
2.6 Give a specified time to review the policies and sign an acknowledgment form stating that they have reviewed the information and will adhere to the policies, guidelines and work rules within the employment handbook. The form should be dated and put into the employee's file.
