China solicitor - Services Offered
1. Legal advice
Legal advice is the giving of a formal opinion regarding the substance or procedure of the law, usually received from a solicitor, barrister or solicitor, ordinarily in exchange for financial or other tangible compensation. China solicitor can provide the advice on Chinese regulation, investment, finance, tax, labor contract, litigation, arbitration and so on.

2. Protecting intellectual property
Intellectual property referred to work or invention that is the result of creativity, such as a manuscript or a design, to which one has rights and for which one may apply for a patent, copyright, trademark, etc.

A company must register its patents and trademarks with the appropriate Chinese agencies and authorities for those rights to be enforceable in China. Currently, State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) in China is responsible for granting patents (national office), registering semiconductor layout designs (national office), and enforcing patents (local SIPO offices), as well as coordinating domestic foreign-related IPR issues involving copyrights, trademarks and patents. China solicitors can help the foreigners to deal with these issues.

3. Negotiating and drafting contracts
In some countries, the negotiating and drafting of contracts is considered to be similar to the provision of legal advice, so that it is subject to the licensing requirement explained above. In others, jurists or notaries may negotiate or draft contracts.

4. Conveyance
Conveyance is the drafting of the documents necessary for the transfer of real property, such as deeds and mortgages. In some jurisdictions, all real estate transactions must be carried out by a solicitor (or a solicitor where that distinction still exists).

5. Notarization
A notary (or notary public or public notary) in the common law world is a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business. Documents to be used in Mainland China must be attested or notarized by a China Notary, officially known as China Appointed Attesting Officer. A China solicitor can provide the foreigners the service of notarization.
