China working visa is issued to those who have obtained employment permit and intend to work in China. From 1st April 2017, the new China work permit policy will divide the foreigner who works in China into 3 categories. Class A (Talent - encourage), Class B (Specialty - control), Class C (Normal - restrict). You have to reach at least Class B for getting a Chinese working visa.
Q: What are the basic eligibility criteria on applicant?
1. Be aged 18 or above and healthy;
2. Have the relevant expertise and 2 years of or above work experience;
3. Have no criminal record;
4. Confirm his/her employment;
5. Hold a passport or any other international travel document.
Q: What are the requirements on the work visa application?
China work visa (Z Visa) is issued to those who have obtained employment permit and intend to work in China. Z visa is usually issued for one entry with duration of stay of 000 (means to be determined). Holder of Z visa should enter China within 90 days after visa is issued and must register at local public security bureau within 30 days of arrival, where the China Residence Permit will be issued to replace Z visa to allow multiple entry for one year.

The basic document checklist for China Working Visa Application is as follows:
(1) Valid passport;
(2) Visa Application Form;
(3) Proof of legal stay or residence status;
(4) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas;
(5) Academic degree certification;
(6) Health certification;
(7) Work qualification;
(8) Non-criminal certificate;
(9) Employment certification or company business license;
(10) Other required documents (if applicable).
Q: How to apply for a work permit for foreign graduates?
Two types of foreign graduates who intend to work in China for more than 90 days, can apply for the China work permit:
1. Those who studied at universities in China and graduating with master or above degree can apply for China Work Permit in one year after graduation;
2. Those who studied at China-recognized universities overseas and graduating with master or above degree can apply for China Work Permit in one year after graduation.
